The Movie Crew

Posted by: Shelly In: Uncategorized

Blurb

The Movie Crew is working behind the scenes to show kids what God’s love is all about. The best place for your child is in Kids LIVE! Make sure yours don’t miss a single week of The Movie Crew.

Series Description

According to Jesus, love (not the Hokey Pokey) is what it’s all about. Jesus said everything you needed to know about knowing God comes down to loving God and loving others. This series shows God’s love lived out in practical terms. We start by demonstrating love as a key element of who God is and a key reason why Jesus came. But returning God’s love means nothing if it isn’t also expressed by loving others. The remaining weeks show us what loving others looks like—honoring, protecting, sharing, giving, forgiving, letting go of little disagreements, but never letting go of the relationship. These are integral parts of love and are only meaningful acts of worship when they are the outcome or expression of God’s love.

Fun Challenge Cards

The Challenge Cards each feature a different picture that reminds kids of a key part of the storyline that week that helped illustrate The Point. They are designed to help kids see where they are in the series to motivate them to keep coming back. The fun and easy games and puzzles on the cards will encourage kids to form a habit of returning them.

Pajama Day!

Posted by: Natalie In: Gateway Kids

Hey Kids LIVE Parents!

Sunday was BGMC Sunday where kids brought in their Buddy Barrels with change for missions. We had a goal of $150 and the kids made it! As a reward the kids asked for a Pajama Party Sunday…and that’s what we are doing THIS Sunday! The kids are free to wear their Pajama’s into Kids LIVE (elementary gathering) during all the 3 gatherings (9:30am, 11:00am & 5:00pm). The leaders and I will be dressed to impress as well! =)

Just a note: Please make sure the pajamas your child wears will cover their body completely while raising their hands and doing activities. Slippers, robes and stuffed animals welcomed! NO tank tops or shorts please! Spiderman and Princess pajamas welcomed!

It’s fun seeing the kids respond to missions in such a great way. I’m proud of their commitment to give and pray for our missionaries all around the world. Now…it’s time to celebrate!

Fish ‘n Heaven

Posted by: Natalie In: Uncategorized

Blurb

What happens when we die? What’s heaven like? Are angels real? Even little kids ask big questions. Make sure your kids come to Kids Live each week in February to go fishin’ for biblical answers!

Series Description

Questions about life after death are as old as life itself. When someone we love dies, we are confronted with questions about what happens next. Kids are no different. Angels, heaven and hell, and the whole supernatural world are topics that kids are naturally curious about—plus these topics present great opportunities for diving deeper into the basics of our faith like salvation and who God is. This series goes under the surface of the supernatural world by using examples and object lessons from nature. We also investigate what the Bible has to say (and is not clear on) about what heaven will be like and why we should never be afraid to go there.

BGMC Sunday

Posted by: Natalie In: Uncategorized

Dear Parents and Families-

Giving to Missions is a huge emphasis in our church, as well as many churches around the world. We give so that others can have the resources and means to teach others about the good news of Jesus. There is a missions giving program through the Assemblies of God that many of you have heard about, BGMC (Boys and Girls Missionary Challenge), that provides equipment and supplies to missionaries all over the world. Missions’ giving is different from normal offering/tithes. Our kids may not be able to be a world missionary right now, but they can give no matter the amount.

Last month your child received a ‘buddy barrel’ to collect change in and give to missions. This Sunday, February 5, is BGMC Sunday for the kids. Thanks for reminding them to bring their barrel this Sunday to the 9:30a & 11a gatherings (we’re not meeting at 5pm because of the Super Bowl).  We’re looking forward to seeing how the kids have been saving their coins!

Space Station Alpha

Posted by: Natalie In: Uncategorized

Gateway Kids Live is boldly going where no series has gone before—Space Station Alpha! We’ll explore the truth about trusting God. Bring every kid you know 1st – 6th grade to Gateway Kids Live!

Series Overview

Trust is based on relationship. You can extend trust to people you don’t know, like a fireman or a teacher, but it’s only by assuming things about them and is still based on past experience. The more you know God, the more you will trust Him. He is truly trustworthy.

Series Outcomes

  1. For kids/ students to understand who God is and what He promises. Building a spiritual foundation or developing spiritual roots.
  2. For kids/ students to do what God says (obedience). To take a spiritual risk (step).
  3. For kids/ students to be setup to succeed at developing a spiritual habit.
